Day 1: The Sock Bun

Ok, so to be fair, I don't REALLY do a Pinterest project every day.  There are blogs out there dedicated to that very thing.  I don't see myself as the next "Julie and Julia" or anything.  I just thought it would be fun to keep track of all the different things I've actually done thanks to Pinterest and share my successes and failures with you! I already have a board titled "Tried and Reviewed" where I try to keep track of what recipes and projects I've actually done and whether or not I like them.  But to be honest, there's not enough room in the comment section for all that information!  Especially for the recipes that I just use for inspiration and then totally change based on what's already in my pantry! So, since I've been using Pinterest for a while already, I've padded my time- I can use all those old ideas first so I won't have to run to Michael's at midnight desperately looking for some mod podge for my blog!

But to start things off right, I'll post something I'm actually using today.  I pinned this to my "My Style" board, as well as the Tried and Reviewed board.  It's called the sock bun. http://www.threepinkdots.com/2011/10/put-sock-in-it.html I have used this hairstyle a lot already- especially as it's getting hotter!  I love how easy it is, and how sophisticated it looks.  It is better than just a plain pony tail, for sure.  I guess I'm just trying to embrace my inner Mrs. Eberenz.  She was my piano teacher for years and always wore a bun.  (She went a little crazy there at the end...hope it wasn't the hair)
