Day 21: A New Hairdo

Pinterest is not just a great place to find new recipes and craft ideas.  It's also a great resource for helpful sites and new styles.  I played the piano last week for a memorial service for a sweet lady from our church.  Her family was kind enough to include a small stipend with their thank you card, so I was able to get a new haircut! It has been almost a year since I even had a trim, so my hair was pretty disastrous.  I also had grown tired of the "how do I pull my hair up today" routine.  Charlie is so fond of yanking my hair and running his hands through it while he's on my lap.  He also has developed a taste for it, apparently.  So I went with the "cut it all off" option.  

Knowing I want a haircut and deciding what style I want are two very different things! So I searched "short hairstyles for round faces" and found this site as well as a few other pictures that I pinned to my My Style board.  When I got to my stylist's house today, I just pulled up my Pinterest account and showed her what I liked.  And then I put myself in her capable hands and ended up with this look for myself.  I think I like it- and it's so much easier than trying to find a picture in one of her old magazines, or describing what I think I want.  Next time you get to the salon, take your own My Style board with you! My husband says I look sad in the picture on the right- like a poster for a Lifetime made for TV movie.  I said it's the only picture that showed that side of my hair, and it will just have to do.  So there.
