Today I went to Chick-Fil-A, not just because I could drink their honey roasted BBQ sauce, but because I believe in our First Amendment right to free speech. My support of this chain today was not about being pro or anti anything in particular. It was about supporting free speech (although I do believe that marriage is an institution created by God with the design of one man and one woman for life). There were a few people there who were protesting the supporters of our local franchise. I was actually glad to see them there, because it was a reinforcement of what this day was about. Free speech is a privilege we have in this country, and it belongs to everyone. I don't have to agree with someone to be respectful to them. I drove away with my delicious, creamy shake, and they enjoyed free water. At least my side is tastier :)
