I use bobby pins pretty regularly when I'm trying different hair styles. When I saw this pin, I was like, "Whaaaaaaaa????" (I reverted to a teenager there for a second, sorry.) Anyway, try flipping the pin around the other way. It really does hold the hair in place better. Duh! I don't know which way is really "right" but you just may be able to pull off the messy bun look, thanks to this tip! :)
