Is it just me? There are posts everywhere about using household things to fix a scratched DVD. In an earlier post, I tried using kids' toothpaste to fix a Disney DVD that always freezes and skips. It was not a success. We have a favorite Wii game that has recently given up the ghost, so I thought we would try another trick on that to see if it worked on Wii games as well. Nope. But to be fair, the "banana" trick claims to fix DVD's, not Wii games, so I tried this method on our Disney movie. We carefully rubbed banana on the disc in a circular motion, and then rubbed it in more with the peel. We then used a soft cloth to remove the excess and spritzed it with Windex. Then came the big test. Will it play.......nope. So this is either a huge myth that has somehow permeated the Internet, or I'm just a failure at fixing scratched discs. I honestly don't know! But I won't be trying to fix my movies again any time soon!
