We spent a little time in the car today, so my husband and I played a game we often play during car rides. That also got me thinking about other car ride games and I knew Pinterest would have a ready supply of them available. Sure enough, I was not disappointed. This one is a great one with printable game sheets. It's good for just rides around town, too. There's a whole Cars theme or Princess theme to use with fun scavenger hunts. I'm definitely printing these out next time we head out on a trip. We like to go visit Daddy at his restaurant and it's a 25 minute trip, so this will come in handy one of those days!
This list had some fun games that everyone can play together. I really like the idea of guessing what color the next car that drives by will be. That's great for those long stretches of road where there aren't any road signs or sights to see.
Aside from the ever popular ABC game, my husband and I like to play a game we'll call Hollywood Connections for lack of a better term. One person will name an actor and a movie or TV show they were in. The next person then has to name another actor that was in that show with them and a show the new actor was in. The first person to get stumped loses and then you start again. For example:
1. Leonard Nemoy was in Star Trek
2. With William Shatner who was also in Miss Congeniality
1. With Sandra Bullock who was in The Blind Side
2. With ...... you get the idea
We'll use actors that do voice over for cartoons, classic actors like Gene Kelly and John Wayne or old TV shows that are long gone like F-Troop. It's amazing to see where the chain will take you :) And if you get stumped, there's always IMDB to get you out of a jam!
