Day 23: Roasted Asparagus

I have been out of town all day at another church's Gospel Music Jubilee.  Our mixed trio was asked to sing a "set" as part of a special service just for singing.  It was really fun and great to see so many people excited about singing to praise God.  There were some amazing people there!

Anyway, since I'm just getting home now, I didn't have time to do anything special today as a Pinterest project. So I was looking through my Tried and Reviewed board again for something that's already been done.  We had asparagus for Easter dinner.  I know we are at the end of the season for fresh asparagus, but it's still out there.  This recipe was pretty easy, and something about roasting the asparagus really brings out the flavor. And who doesn't like garlic?!? I could have it on just about anything.  Well, not cupcakes, but other than that...weeeelll, not cookies, either, but everything else...well- Ha! I'm having a Dr. Who moment there, sorry.  Back to asparagus.  Here's a quick tip- when you are preparing the stalks, just bend them gently.  They will naturally snap where the wooden end meets the more fleshy stalk.  Toss away the end that snapped off and leave the rest whole.  Drizzle with the oil and yummy ingredients and then roast.  Delicious!
