Day 50: Teaching Piano Resources

Admittedly, this will only interest people who are involved in music, but this is my blog and I'm interested in it, so there. :)  I just pinned this Teaching Piano Helps to my resource board a couple days ago, and I finally had some time to peruse the sight.  After just a couple page clicks, I'm really excited at all the potential here!  There's a ton of information to sift through, but every page has something useful that can be customized to my own students.  There are also tons of downloads available.  I've never taught group lessons or hosted music camps, but I can see how it would be fun and not too hard to do if you have the right resources and supplies.  The thing that really caught my eye was the games you can play to help your beginner students.  I'm definitely in a rut when it comes to that.  Making lessons fun will encourage participation and keep them interested during the week.  I'm really thinking about a major overhaul of my lesson style, rate schedule and summer ideas.  See the power of a Pin? :)
