Day 75: Crunchwrap Supreme

Even though this is a Taco Bell clone recipe, I'd never had a crunchwrap until Pinterest.  My sister-in-law said that she tried them and they tasted just like the ones from Taco Bell.  Well, I've since gone to Taco Bell and ordered one for comparison, and I can tell you for sure, these are better! We've had them several times now, and I could have sworn that I'd already done a blog post about them, but I can't find it anywhere! And my posts are numbered by day, so it's not like there's one missing somewhere.  Anyway, I'll put the recipe here, but you should go look at the blog that I pinned it from because her pictures are great.

Crunchwrap Supreme

1 package XL burrito tortillas/wraps- Get the biggest ones you can find.  Our Winco sells one brand that's big enough- Guerrero
1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 packet taco seasoning
1 10oz can nacho cheese- or grated cheese, but nacho is better
1 package tostada shells (once again, Guerrero for us)
Sour Cream
Shredded lettuce
Dices tomatoes (we skip these)

Brown the ground beef or turkey, drain and add seasoning as directed.  Set aside.

Lay out the tortilla.  If it seems a little dry/stiff, you can microwave it for 10 seconds to soften it up and make it easier to handle.  Spoon taco meat onto tortilla.  Slather with a couple spoonfuls of nacho cheese.  Place tostada shell over meat and cheese.  Top tostada shell with a dollop of sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes or salsa.
These are filling! You only need one, but you'll want two :)

Beginning with the bottom, fold the edge of the tortilla up to the center.  Continue in a clockwise motion around the tostada shell and toppings until the tortilla is completely folded.  Spray a pan with cooking spray and place seam side down.  Press with spatula and cook about 3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.  Turn and cook the other side for another 3 minutes.  Serve warm and enjoy!
