Well today has certainly gotten away from me! Jared has been working late shifts lately and it throws our whole family dynamic off when he's gone. I don't have any desire to cook a fancy meal for myself and little boys who don't appreciate it. And bedtime isn't exactly the same as when Daddy is home. But everyone is down (at least for now) and I feel like flopping on the couch and curling up with a good book.
But first, today's post. I saw a pin the other day detailing a trick to help your child learn to hold his pencil correctly. Bryce always had a beautiful pencil grip- even when he was coloring with crayons at 2 years old. Henry has a harder time with it than Bryce did. So I tried this little trick. It seemed to help to have a couple fingers busy when you're trying to manipulate their little hands. It wasn't perfect, but he's also young still and I don't have any of those cool fat pencils they give you in preschool and kindergarten :)That's it. That's all I've got. After a restless night in a very hot house last night (thankfully our a/c was fixed this afternoon) I can barely keep my eyes open.
