Day 94: Date Night Ideas

In keeping with my newly decided "marriage theme" for Sundays, I want to share a pin that went around earlier this year.  There are several cute ideas for date nights that aren't too expensive, either.  We've done a few of the suggestions over the years-it's always nice to try something new or do something silly together.  I really liked the idea of being a tourist in your own town.  People come here to visit our town on purpose!  We should go and see what they are doing and try it ourselves.  And taking cheesy pictures at every photo spot doesn't hurt either :)

One of my favorite memories of a date night is from way back when I was "great with child" with our first son.  We were walking the mall, trying to get things moving along.  Since we didn't have any money to spend while we were there, we decided to each spend an imaginary $500.  What would you buy if you had $500 mad money?  I found myself being so thrifty and frugal with my money! It wasn't even real!!! But every shop we visited, I would see something I liked, but wouldn't commit to putting it on my "list" until I had seen everything else.  I mean, I wouldn't want to have to return my imaginary purchase if I came across something else I wanted more, would I?  We laughed and laughed about each others choices and over thinking of our purchases.  I also discovered that more often than not, we would "buy" things for the other person.  It's a great way to get to know each other better, and enjoy your time together.

So if it's been too long, find something on this list and go out there and spend some time with your mate!  Better yet, comment here and leave some ideas of your own inexpensive date nights!  I'd love some new ones :)
