I have the hands of an 85 year old woman. Growing up in California, I've seem my fair share of the sun. I never really got into tanning (with the exception of the weeks leading up to my wedding) and I use sunscreen when I know I'm going to be outside for a while. But one place you never remember to put it is on your hands! So I've developed these unpleasant dark spots on my skin. I actually took pictures to post today, but I just couldn't do it. It would be like taking a picture of your belly fat and posting it for all the world to see. ( I know some people do that all the time, but I am not a People of Walmart kind of person!)
Like the junk in the background? My Photostream won't save edited pictures! So, "uncropped" it is
A few weeks ago there was a pin floating around describing using a lemon and a few drops of honey to remove blackheads. I have no idea if that works or not. But in this same post, it also said that you could use it to lighten dark spots. So I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I cut open a lemon and squeezed a few drops of honey onto it and them slathered the back of my hands with lemon juice and honey. Other than feeling sticky and smelling lemony-fresh, I'm pretty sure I remain exactly as I was before. I'll let you know if anything magically changes by tomorrow.
On a side note, I made some very tasty fried rice with the leftovers of last night's chicken pot pie mixture. I had some white rice left over in the refrigerator, so I scrambled an egg, tossed in some butter and the rice, fried it up and then added the mix from last night. It made enough for another meal for the whole family! I love not having to waste food without having to eat the same thing three days in a row!
